3 months single and still adjusting. It has been quite a shock after being in a 5 year relationship. I'm doing well most of the time. Except for when I get bored ... then I have been getting into trouble. I have been hanging out with Mike (my roommate now) and he has been keeping me out of trouble. Nights like tonight when I decide to go out alone are when I find myself in possibly troublesome situations. Luckily my charming personality and drunken luck has kept me safe, for now.
I have had a few friends recently try to hook me up. While I appreciate the thought, my last attempt (and only since being single) at a relationship type thing was such an utter fail, ending in the loss of a good friend, that I have no interest. It is pretty clear to me that as much as I miss the companionship of a woman that I don't currently have the emotional stability for a relationship.
I'm living at 17th and Grant now so I can walk to the Colfax bars and the Blake Street bars. No DUI's for this guy!
And on that note it is time for me to get ready to head off to El Chapultepec to listen to some awesome blues and maybe have another drunken adventure.
