I made it out to my first SGCO event on Monday. It was at a punk bar downtown Denver and it reminded me a little of D's in Chi. I had a great time and met some cool people (but forgot most of their SG names). Most of the SGCO croud seems to be mimi pony people 
Things are starting to look better on the job front. Looks like I might not need to go back to whoring myself out
