Well, I was an hour late to class yesterday because a teenager decided to jump in front of a subway car.
When I got to the subway, there were masses and masses of people waiting for buses outside. The buses were special shuttles that were taking people where they would have usually gone on the subway. But they were CRAZY crowded - think fish in a can. So instead I wound up going out of my way to take the 33 bus.
On the bright side, my teacher excused my lateness because she heard about the incident.
I have to say, taking the subway the next day was a little bit creepy because I knew that the suicide had occurred the day before and I'd be going through the station where it happened.
