Yesterday and today the weather has been amazing... today it's a bit overcast, but both days it's been in the 60's and up to 70.
Yesterday, I found myself looking for as many excuses to get outdoors as possible. I ran errands that I otherwise would have put off running, so that I had a purpose for all of the walking I wanted to do. I wore a hot pink hippie sundress that I got for about $30 last summer at this Indian clothing import store. The dress is super comfy and makes me feel gorgeous. And I went to the co-op, which I have been meaning to do for awhile but have mostly been too lazy to do.
Then, around 6, I felt the itch to get out all over again, so I walked the 6 blocks to Germantown just to pick up something I had forgotten. Even though I had nothing covering my shoulders, I wasn't cold at all, even when I was walking home at dusk.
The weather and sunlight has been making me so energetic. I've been getting a lot done.
I have new music to go with all of this. The latest Paste Magazine mix CD is an especially good one. I am crazy about this song "When Water Comes to Life" by the Cloud Cult. It's just absolutely beautiful. The first couple of minutes are this beautiful orchestration with string instruments... but it is very unique, it doesn't sound like classical music or a movie soundtrack.
Tadzi is visiting me this weekend! I am sure we will have tons of fun being lazy together. We will probably lie in my bed and watch movies most of the time. And then on Sunday evening, fauxjocie and I are going to celebrate the kittens' first birthday with a couple of friends. He thinks we should put silly hats on them.
