I had a really amazing weekend. I went to Rehobeth beach with my mom and sister. We had a great time!
On Friday evening, we went to a drag show. It was my first drag show ever! And it was really awesome. It was this guy, Christopher Peterson, who did a one-woman show. He impersonated various female celebrities... Marilyn Monroe, Julie Andrews, Joan Rivers, Tina Turner, and Bette Middler. There may have been one or two others I'm not thinking of. He was hilarious and also an amazingly versatile singer as a female.
On Saturday, I got a chance to do a lot of walking around the town and some shopping. I got some clothes that are office-appropriate for the fall, and also I found this absolutely gorgeous fuschia dress, that also happens to be sexy and amazingly comfortable, for $33. I was impressed.
In the evening, my mom and sister went to bed, and I went to check out this gay bar, The Blue Moon. Well, I went there myself and I didn't know anyone, but I introduced myself to a few people and wound up having a great time. I had hoped that there might be some lesbians there, but it seemed to be just men and the occasional fag hag. I sat out on the patio outside for most of the evening, where you could have conversations without having to yell over the music, and chatted a lot.
We headed back on Sunday.
I have a really busy week ahead of me. Yesterday was running errands and driving school from 5:45 to 9 - I have that every evening this week. I am working in a legal office today and tomorrow... I do a combination of bookkeeping, drafting letters, translations, and tech support. Tomorrow, I have a dance class before work as well, so it's a terribly busy day. Also, fauxjocie is coming to visit me on Wednesday evening. I'm really looking forward to that!
This weekend, I get to see Tadzi and we're both excited about that. We don't see each other nearly as often as we should, and he is one of my best friends.
I also need to start looking for jobs and apartments in Philly. I am gonna be hitting Craig's List a lot, until I have a chance to do some actual in-town hunting.
