There was beautiful weather in Charleston, and despite the enormous amount of bullshit Amanda and I had to wade through to get there and get situated, I had a pretty good time. I saw my friends Amanda and Richard. I did a lot of walking and ate at some of my favorite restaurants there. I love how food in Charleston is so cheap compared to what it costs here.
I did, however, feel melancholy at times about missing living there. I am happy in the DC area, and most of my friends live around here or not very far away. Some of my friends from high school are planning to move back into the area, too.
Max came to visit me on Friday when I returned from Charleston, and spent the weekend here. It was wonderful to see him again. I had a mild cold, mainly I was just sick on Saturday. He took care of me because he's wonderful.
This week, it's back to school, and back to work. Blah. It's going to be a pretty busy week, and weekend. I am working on getting the Mary Kay thing off of the ground, since I decided to do that. Depending on how much I like it, I may be doing that a lot this summer, or I may have that as a side project and look for a part-time job.
Also, I am doing some freelance translation of legal documents for my mother. I need to seriously get more sleep if I can, because my brain is having some trouble adjusting to daylight savings time.
Oh, I have good news! My whole dizziness/nausea thing has improved. I think getting rid of the ear infection helped. I didn't feel crummy after either the flight down or the flight back up. I did feel a bit dizzy, though, after Max and I drove up to Baltimore this weekend to visit Morgan. Still, it was very good to see her again, and we went to a diner.
There is another post I plan to make at some point, but for now I'm going to leave the ideas percolating.
