I've become the golden boy at work... I get there early, prep everything, work w/ the landscapers and get them to do what needs to be done.... generally run everything till the boss gets there (at least an hour later).... at which point I do most of the hard work b/c I don't mess up....

Now, today, all its good, until my co-worker breaks the cord on the chainsaw (its a tool we NEED, and can't actually do work w/o it), which means it wont start, which means no work....

My boss was already mad at him, and now, so much more... until I calmed everyone down, explained to my boss that the cord started to fray earlier and it was just a matter of time that it happened, then I joked around to cheer him up....

My coworker was choked b/c all this happened to him... that and the boss has had him in the doghouse for the past 2 days...... but I invited him back to my place for beer and GH2.... b/c really, how is that not a great way to spend your afternoon off..... he left happy... we'll have to see what tomorrow brings....

After all this Linds and I went for a long walk, explored a bit and kicked rocks down the street.... today was a good day....

OH, and I received the first of my gst checks.... so now I have some cash to spend on, ummm, something... possibly carob chips!!!.... we'll see.... suggestions????
