I awake from a vivid replay of last night, and promptly hang up my sg poster. I have room to hang items on 2 walls in my room (as one wall is dedicated to a closet and door, and the other is a window) These of course are adorned w/ paintings, a grand total of 6; and now w/ my poster (which has become the center point for the wall w/ my "bed") my room feels balanced...
I've been thinking this morning, and I remember when I first joined/discovered sg. I remember reading about "The Tuesday Suits" on Fractal's (maybe???) page and checking them out, promptly followed by becoming addicted to the band. I remember the feeling of being part of a much larger community, and feeling comforted by it. Even though I wasn't an avid member yet, I was still in my recon phase. A phase I tend to default back to, it being somewhat in my nature to be an objective observer (maybe why I feel into psych) I scoured the site getting a feel for how things worked and the types of people involved. Gravitating to the news section at first (which strangely enough is how I found the site) I was immediately impressed at the quantity and quality of news gathered there, it was as if I took all my friends (who have varied interests) and made them search for interesting info in their particular area, and then had them report back to me............ Ahhhhhhh, I digress.... I think the entire point of this is to reminisce about that feeling I had when I first joined, a feeling that faded in time w/ my moving around allot (and therefore never checking the site), the new look for the site (which I like now!!!), and just w/ change (both mine and the communities) in general, but as of last night, and reading Missy's forward, I feel like I'm back, I feel like I want to go and do something again, I feel good........ and on that note I think I'll do just that...... I'll have to post again about the show (of which Austin's (I think) "Miss Me" vis-a-vis the Dresden Dolls is playing in my head).... well, off to do the things I do.....l8r
