Sorry about the fishy.
Also, sorry about skipping out last Tuesday - just turned in to one of those days. At least this week I already know next Tuesday is a pig
-I have a huge crush on one of my borrowers
I can't exactly crack onto him over the counter...what should I do? How does one subtly indicate with a motion of the eyebrow the desire to meet up at the Potato Bake shop accross the road after 5-ish to exchange phone numbers?
Seriously...I am very bad at this stuff and need help!!!
Are you feeling any better ??..cup of tea,bex & a lie down always works a treat
A palm squirrel huh, well Hyde park in the city is chock full of palm trees, maybe there is one hiding there somewhere..funny story i once had an old,1/2 blind possom try to climb up my leg once,he grabbed my foot, peered up & sudenly realised i wasnt a tree..was the cutest thing hehe
Im not to sure about the Squirrels, but i wouldnt be surprised..im thinking maybe in hyde park ??

-I have been working flat out this week, so sorry to have been ignoring all you gorgeous people!
But it was a good work week...got alot of praise and got along with everyone (those things are important to me...I like to know that I have done a good job).

I have been working too much this week However, when I last updated my journal I posted a pic for you to guess the big brother contestant who was my former housemate and is still one of my most treasured people.
If you can't tell from sight, why does it make a difference? I agree the "cubic" makes it sound bad, but "zirconia" sounds prettier than "diamond", I think. And diamonds and gold are mined in such horrible ways (I don't know if cubic zirconia is any better but it's cheaper so I imagine it's easier to obtain?).
I like your lists of things that make you happy and sad.
-I may have a job interview for a really, really good library *fingers crossed* Chatted to the recruiting agency lady today and she sounded interested and said that she would be in touch...
-Had a nice day at work!
-I fucking hate the new Pajero ad on TV...horrible school mums driving their equally horrible children around in fucking tanks!! The stereotype has been realised!!! Egads!!!... Read More

I met a nice lady in the TAFE carpark today. We got into a conversation over the "Out of Order" parking ticket dispensery thingo. And we had a good chat about MG's and other classic cars, her groovy purple revved up car and libraries.
She is part of the high-up-big-bosses at the TAFE libraries and she recommended that I get into contact with TAFE's HR... Read More
V for Vendetta!
Depending if you read the graphic novel, or not, (and how you reacted to it...) you'll not watch the same movie... If you never read the book, you'll see a movie that's mostly about a nice man awful people did horrible things to, and that exact a well- thought and superiorly planned revenge. I suspect it has been made so , so that it appeals to the largest possible number of viewers. Short: it's a good action movie, with pleasant melancholy moments.
It's more or less what I was expecting, and I was rather pleasantly surprised they adapted it the way they did: they could have done much , much worse! (such as: overdosing the movie with SFX, for example). I felt they had suppressed much ambiguties, probably as t seems American audiences dislike anything ambiguous.... maybe I'm wrong?
But to people who read the book and became fans of it....... as another SG member put it: it's "Alan Moore's dream swallowed and shat out of Hollywood"...
(by the way, the member (halfjack, to give him due credit) who wrote that also thought that it was surprisingly good, although oversimplified.)
Brilliant idea to piment your entry with Pirate Jenny! I love these English lyrics - I was not familiar with them, and for some reason I have a feeling they are better than the French ones - more simply written, I guess.
Thanks!
I dropped my bubble-eyes today and he slid underneath the toaster He lay completely still for a moment and then started wiggling. He seems alright...
The other day two of sweetest little girls (about 5 years old) all dressed up in their pink flowery girly stuff had a screaming argument in the middle of the library..."YOU'RE A STUPID WHORE!!", "NO, YOU'RE A STUPID WHORE!!"...I have... Read More
