No, you are right. I am pretty sure it doesn't register that he's making people angry. The only thing that I am sure registered with him was me being mean directly to him (I said he was a useless friend - which is TRUE, but was harsh, in my opinion, especially since I said it deliberately to lower his standing in front of the girl he was flirting with - mean and not nice), and then when I apologised the next day by text I pointed out that I was angry with him on behalf of Kathryn. I am pretty sure that it was only at that point that he realised there was stuff going on.

Having said that, my boyfriend thinks that there is part of the guy that does things to piss people off, which means that he has to know that he's doing it. GOD, it's frustrating.

Ah well, I am no longer friends with him for these reasons. I hate having to explain situations to him like he's a child because he has no idea what's going on when having a disorder can only get you so far. There's a point where a person suffering from something like Asperger's needs to try and learn what affects others and avoid doing things that cause bad reactions. Even if they don't understand why, they just need to not do them. It's a rule, you know... like, don't sleep with friends of your ex. OK, so you don't understand WHY that's bad - who cares: just don't do it!! It's irritating that he basically takes the angle: "oh, you're all just so irrational and I'm going to do whatever I want - ha!"

So - I talked to my boyfriend about it and he's going to raise it with the friend. He said that he doubts the friend will understand what I'm saying at all at the moment, so he's going to try and spell it out for him.

SUCH BASIC RULES. GRRR...
