24 Hours From Tulsa has just come on and I am going to have to play it on repeat because I can't concentrate enough on it while I'm typing (quantity will equal quality? blackeyed )

The music swells...

This is for a very, very good friend of mine smile

Dear Sadie,

I Love You!!

You made me vegetarian enchiladas when you were having chicken, put up with me reading the back of every packet at the supermarket and called me "ana", you drop things constantly (but that's the PILLS isn't it Britney?), you're going to paint up the foxes skull that I found on a farmers fence on the way to your house (only once I've done the disgusting part of decapitating the maggoty corpse because you're scared of maggots...scaredy miao!! ), you're from TEXASS!! You put up with my rubber- legs dancing to Wayne & Wanda, you call me Puddles (because I follow you around like a puppy and threaten to wet myself when I laugh too hard) you are a funny, funny, funny lady, you have one of the strongest and most romantic relationships I have ever seen with your girlfriend...and you are so damn caring, if you ever need it in return I'll give it by the bucketful (because I have noticed that the caring types often don't get enough looking-after for themselves).

The Sugar Shack by the ocean is beautiful, almost as beautiful as the ocean itself.

Although I am older than you, you are my bad mommy and I am your spud-baby.

I am eternally grateful to the spirits of the internet when they bring me people like you.

The drive home in the storm was sublime smile

I also found out that the sister of an ex-friend (convoluted enough for you?) works near me. And it was such a bad break-up...when you lose your close friends it IS just like having your heart broken. I guess I speak for myself, but it fucking murders me everytime.
Anyways, her sister gave me a big hug and we caught up on each others news (but always avoided the topic...which is as it should be I think, no point rehashing).
And that felt good. Perhaps enough time has passed between all of that horrible mess and now. None of "it" is important anymore to any of the people involved (I say that somewhat cautiously). Sounds lame, but I walked off thinking "thankyou" to her over and over again in my head.

I want these DVDs (when I have time to go to the shops again):

Legend (had it, gave it to someone)
The Navigator
The Wizard of Oz
Malcolm

I want this CD:

Toys in the Attic (had it and gave it to someone)
plus a heap of Velvet Underground stuff

Just so there's no confusion, this is The Navigator...does anyone else remember it?

My mini-bar should say this:

"little anemone stretching a tentative tentacle, she hopes you feel her touch"

I promise not to drag you underwater...ever.

It's a musical using all the Beatles songs, set in the 60's. It's a psychedelic trip out and it's absolutely wonderful!

There are so many Beatles references and the best thing is, it doesn't disrespect any of the songs but uses them perfectly in the story!

It's about this fella from Liverpool named Jude who goes to the USA and moves to new york with some friends. Its just god damn cool.

I thought it was going to have a massive release here but it's only on at Marion and Nova which is sad, i think it's going to be really underrated. frown
