Long time, no see....

1. I hit the big THREE OH in a few days time! I'm looking forward to it...although weirdly enough, my age is affecting my dress sense...I am becoming very aware of not buying clothes that are too cute, too pink and especially too short (my best friend the chocolate bar has not been a very good friend to me )

2. I cut my hair for the first time in about 8 years. It is now shoulder length and I wish I had cut it off sooner...it looks really nice! No more hippy hair!

3. I am determined to stop procrastinating with my studies and also to lose weight.

4. My fill-in work has been extended until mid january!! The upside to this is that my hourly rate is higher and my hours are very regular. The downside to this is that every Friday I have to work with a complete psychopath whose idea of work is to take twenty minutes to re-shelve a handful of magazines. And is a complete workplace bully/arsehole.

5. I have begun to think that we (as a culture) have a problem with "medicalising" problems. It is so much easier than admitting that your problem isn't medical and that you can fix it, but that it will be very hard. I really, really want to stop being OCD...and it is so fucking hard to control, yet it's as simple as not giving in to the impulses...go figure....
I can probably lose weight...
I can probably finish my studies...
BUT...
I don't know if I can stop checking the fucking doors on my house to make sure they are locked...
And I don't know if I can learn to stop being such a hermit...truth, I am afraid of people and am more than a little socially inept.

6. My best friend might be coming back to Adelaide!!!
