I'm sorry to have been evil and uncommunicative. I am back to working an average of 5 days per week now (phew! and fingers crossed it stays that way!) and am thankfully earning more as a result of a combined payrise and a responisibility upgradey thingo.
But too much work made me bored, frustrated at being aware of time passing with absolutely nothing of interest happening and I really, really missed my son. Must learn how to say "no" to bosses.
I bought a spunky 50s armchair for my computer room...it is so low to the ground that I have to put a pouf (one of those un-PC-edly named multicolour footstool doodads) onto it so that I can actually see the screen. I also got two very cute 50s kitchen chairs and an offer to buy vintage clothing for the antiques shop that I purchased them from!! MY GOD!! Someone trusts my judgement!
I met someone interesting at work...I will not say anymore just yet because I don't want to jinx myself!
I took my son to the Royal Adelaide Show on Saturday, it was very hot and very busy! I got sat upon by a ginormous Mastiff in the Dogs Pavillion (80-odd kgs of overgrown puppy love)
But he was adorable so I promptly forgave him for depriving me of oxygen
