-I have been working flat out this week, so sorry to have been ignoring all you gorgeous people! 
But it was a good work week...got alot of praise and got along with everyone (those things are important to me...I like to know that I have done a good job).
-I hate cubic zirconia.
I found a beautiful pair of earrings in a shop this week, so I went in to enquire about them.
"Are they white gold or silver?"
"Oh, they're white gold"
"Are they real diamonds?"
"No, those are inlaid with cubic zirconia"
Why the fuck would you have white gold earrings with horrible, cheap cubic zirconia in them!? Why go half way!!!!!! Marilyn Monroe must be spinning in her grave!!
It's such a horrible word too..."What a stunning cubic zirconia!!", "those are genuine cubic zirconia", "My husband bought me a beautiful cubic zirconia pendant!!"
IT JUST DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT!!!
If it was just called "zirconia" that would be a little better...(my rant is only half-joking).
-Excellent early morning op-shop buys: green patterned 70s dress, cameo brooch, grey 70s secretary style skirt...
-I found two great books when shelf-reading during the week: one on the Gatton murders and another home-published booklet about the history of abortion in SA.
-Got more great books from the throw out table! One on David Bowie by his first wife Angie, one on Carmen Miranda and one on Marilyn Monroe (by a former boyfriend who took lotsa naughty pics!!)

I wish I had $400 to buy a bomby car with (I already have a car and it is perfectly good BUT I want this bright blue bomby one that someone nearby is selling...I want to take it home, fix it up, fall in love, get married, have baby carlets etc.)
