I wish there were more weekends and less weekdays, why are they so much better? Not including my mid-week day of tuesday fun of either paddling or screwing around.
Its a sad thing realizing that I'm coming to the point of apprehension when I call my parents house hoping my Mother isn't the one that picks up. But if I never make the effort and just always call my dads cell, then I'm a bad daughter. The last several months have been the same conversation on loop. "Oh, I never wanna do anything. I just sleep, eat, and go to work. Ya know? Nothings worth anything anymore." What do you say to your Mother after hearing that? I'm over here, on the other side of the country, having a pretty damn good time. What the hell CAN you say? Garrrrr.
The conversation with my dad was better though. At first, we talked about how hard of a transition this has been. She's really REALLY bringing him down and its hurts to know that two people who used to be so in love are now killing eachother emotionally. Atleast he can TALK to me now. In the light of things, i'm glad that he can say things to me knowing that I'm not going to freak out and break down. I've accepted the fact that they aren't in love anymore, I've known about it for a while, but took longer to accept it. I've gotten better with balancing the two. Not being on someones "side" is hard. I had a difficult time being torn between the two of them in the beginning, but have learned that there isn't a right side of the fence to be on. Their both victims of falling in love early and getting married to soon. And what is happening is the end result of it. It was nice to hear him laugh. Knowing that atleast he's on the other end of the line smiling. We joked about random things and ended the phone call in a good place. I gave him my flight information of when N and I are getting in. I'm soo looking forward to giving everyone back home a big hug.
My house threw a show satuday night. It was a pretty impressive show. Usually the opening bands suck, but these guys fucking rocked! I thought they were the best set. Criminal Damage. I hope they put something out soon.
