Star Wars: The Amaru’jem chronicles (Prologue, Pt. 2)

Balance in all things is what we strive for, and the achievement of total equilibrium is considered a great achievement indeed. We strongly believe that deceitfulness has the potential to create imbalances in the universe, the galaxy, on our worlds, and within.

It’s for this reason that we find the Jedi penchant for mendacity particularly repugnant, and the idea that a digest filled with their vile rubbish is now travelling through the cosmos compels us to act.

Regardless of whether our message reaches its intended destination or not, or there is any sentient being in or around “Q” to receive it or not, we’re confident that by sending it into the stars we’ve assisted in restoring some balance to the universe.

We also owe a great debt as we bear some responsibility for the recent troubles. Terrible mistakes have been made on our part, mistakes that have cost many lives. We intend to be forthcoming about our errors in this account as we fully accept the consequences of our actions. There will be a reckoning for both sides: A military victory is within our grasp and the pursuit is currently underway for the leadership of the Galactic Empire, the so called “Rebel Alliance” and the Skywalker family.

It’s our sincerest desire that peace should prevail after these many revolutions of destructive conflict. We’re under no illusions, however, that battleships, quantum torpedoes and invading armies can completely eradicate violent extremism, religious intolerance or twisted ideology. It’s the sovereign individuals, those close at hand and local, who must exercise eternal vigilance against this darkness.

The most that a foreign power can do, outside of provding material assistance, is continue being a shining example by upholding those rights and values which it holds sacred: The right to speak out freely without fear of reprisal, the right to worship the God or Gods of one’s choosing without fear of persecution, the right and responsibility of one to defend themselves, their families and their communities.

We’re confident that once these rights have been ensured, along with the inalienable right to life and liberty, the galactic citizen in any given society will be able to rise and go as far as their mind can take them, regardless of species, planetary origin, or socio-economic background. The finest can and will rise to the top, and in the end this is the only hierarchy that truly matters.

The great teachers in my order, my former military superiors, and my colleagues at the diplomatic corps are in agreement that I should be the one to pen this narrative. I consider it a great honor and would like to state unequivocally that all praise is due to The All. Any mistakes within the text are mine and mine alone.

I would especially like to thank my 7 Links for the stability they’ve provided me and their constant support throughout this undertaking. A heartfelt thanks also to the staff at the research libraries and galactic archives on Iridium Prime. Without their dedication and willingness to assist this work would not have been possible.

Now please allow me to formally introduce myself: Although I’m now retired from the Tydirium Royal Marine Corps I’m still known in military circles as Capt. John Rainwater. In my current capacity as liaison to the Outer Planets I’m simply referred to as Ambassador Rainwater. My full name is John "Shujaa" Amaru’jem Rainwater. Greetings on behalf of my home planet Tydirium and the Alkaline Federation of Planets.

Also, one final note before we begin: The Pro-Jedi propaganda has a title, and although we find it puerile and somewhat crude, we also will use the title for this narrative, simply as a point of reference.

So be it, let the “Star Wars” chronicles begin.
