So last Thursday Jeanette and I went to Neo for '80s night and it was a FUCKING BLAST! Last year I used to go nearly every week, but it got boring so I stopped. But you know what they say about absence...

The greatest thing was my lovely friend Becky was in from L.A. and it was so, so awesome to see her. We danced like there was no tomorrow. I haven't had a night like that in quite a while. I ran into a lot people I hadn't seen in ages and also met several new people, including a cute Viatnamese gay boy named Chow who was my dance partner for a while, and Joe, a friend from SG that I had been wanting to meet. I think I got there around 11:30 and when they turned the lights on at 4am, I couldn't believe it.

Afterward we walked to the Golden Nugget on Clark...well, for me it was more like stumbled, due to a handful of gin & tonics and hours of dancing on stiletto heels...I downed a few cups of coffee, and hopped in a cab to go home to a snuggly bed. Yes, it was nice.

So, the point of this entry is - I AM BRINGING BACK THURSDAY NIGHTS. I did it before, and I believe it is time to do it again. If you live in Chicago and you like '80s new wave, pop, alternative, punk, rock n' roll and industrial, then come to Neo and dance with me! That's all for now.
