Last night I went with my friend Hector to the Peninsula holiday party. I really like going to it because it's total fanciness and that's always fun. Among the things I sampled were Jamacian meat pie (spicy!) pork dumplings, baked ham, shrimp, vegetable fried rice, a tiny but very rich chocolate mousse cake and lavender white hot chocolate. Oh, and some red wine, too. We danced a little too. It's funny - at the hotel we all have to be so proper and dignified, but when we're off work, everybody's cutting loose and jacking each other on the dancefloor. It was awesome.
