Well the past couple of days have been real shitty..... First off one of my good friends died from an IED. I just talked to him a day prior. To top that off, When my squad was doing searches in the city, i got shot at from some guy. He came around the side of a septic truck and shot right at me.he was a very bad shot though. He ended up shooting the tire instead. All that aside, I leave tomorrow to go on R&R. I finally get to see my baby lady_godiva. were going to go into her bedroom for a few days and never come out!!!

I know i hate hearing about another solider dieing it drives me crazy. I mean i've seen my plt leader get taken out by a VBIED that was a hard tiime for us.. I'll say a prayer for your friend..
I know how you feel about the vacation too. I'm getting ready to get out of here in a month.
