So apparently sitting at a dive bar with a beer reading t.s.eliot is a great way to get girls to hit on you. I would not have guessed.
Anyway, just to prove it's a small world, I was sitting at a bar half a block from my place in SF (drinking a beer and reading t.s.eliot), and met all these kids who were celebrating like 5 people's birthdays, and they turned out to all be from Portland. One of them said I looked familiar; apparently she used to live 2 blocks from my place in Corvallis back when I lived there. Craziness.
I even got a phone number! OK, fine, it was for a guy, but whatever. Someone else to hang out with in Portland when I head back up there......
9 mos in the city and I'm starting to make friends. it's awesome....
