What a fucking strange week it's been. Got out of a relationship *good*, my business got scary slow *BAD*, and my business got busy *good*.
So for anyone who doesn't know me, I have my own business doing home renovations. Since I've been self employeed (three years), I've never once had to market myself or advertise....aside from a two week classified add I ran in the very beginning. Only recently I was in a situation that seemed a bit scary.....the phone didn't ring!! So for a change and an effing weird one at that, I actually made a half dozen phone calls to put myself out there. Low and behold, within 24hrs I have myself booked into the new year. Most of my customers and contacts seemed to think that since I am always so busy that there is just no point in even calling me.
I'm humbled.
Anyway, I'm spending most of the weekend doing side jobs and looking at new ones, so things are right back on the rails.
Maybe it's time to buy another motorcycle? Hmmmm....
