contrast

can't believe i'm done with the night shift. its actually kinda bitter sweet.

i loved the diversity of the people i worked with. contrast. and i have an affinity for blue collar type jobs. and my new job is still that. so that's cool.

they did my yearly review on the first of july, so we went over that for shits and giggles. i got a 45 cent raise for my last few weeks. the review was also full of high praise. and while its just a menial job, i still take pride in that type of shit.

good people work there. as a group, definitely the best people i've ever worked with. it sort of surprised me.

so i'm a little apprehensive about working in a small shop with 2-4 other people. all white dudes. i'm not racist, i'm just sayin. things can get banal. my boss is so old school and my underling is a young punk and i'm stuck right in the middle. or rather, triangulated out in the distance somewhere, where i usually exist.



we'll see how it plays out. i needed a change, badly. it was about a year overdue.

an old college roomate of mine works in the same strip mall i will be working in. so i suspect many 5 oclock cocktails at the Applebees on the corner.
