i drank pabst blue ribbon before it was trendy. in fact, i drank it when it was horribly untrendy. and that is exactly why i drank it. yes, i was (am) one of those ironic assholes.

i was wondering about this, about when it became cool. because i remember a time when it wasnt cool.

that was written in 2001. seems it was around 2000 when it started getting big on the coasts, but you see in the article it states that it hadnt caught on in the midwest yet. i guess that was about the time i was drinking it. 99-01. in fact, it was in 2000 that i tried to bring my trend to wisconsin, where i was told that it was very uncool to drink pbr due to some brewery closings or some union type shit. i dunno.

i still drink it, don't get me wrong. i just found the whole thing interesting.

and its not by any means the best tasting of the cheap beers. in my opinion at least. it just has a cool can. old milwaukee light, busch light... those are good cheap junky beers.
