contrast

Discontent is the first step in the progress of man.

I've been bitching alot lately, about my job/where i get my money/where i spend half my waking hours situation. But i had an epiphany today that much of my bitching was not in vain, it wasn't idle whining, it was me figuring out a better way.

Last night I was talking about why my job sucks, and under what situation it wouldn't suck, and while dealing with a customer today I realized I might be able to create the later situation.

So that's exciting, although it will involve some work, i've already got a nice gameplan formulated.. i hope this goes somewhere.

in the meantime, i'm here at work, catching up on actual WORK. see, my boss left for vegas for a week and a half, and left this place to two people. so i come in, start working on some design, then get a call from someone wanting a sign.. so i talk to that customer for 10 minutes and take another 10 to set up the job. sit down to design again and then a another customer comes in or calls. etc. so all day i get new jobs, but have no way of actually doing them because i'm fucking secretary and salesperson and justin my production guy is already swamped with last weeks jobs...

so in the meantime, i'm here at work after hours, trying to catch up on what i was hired to do from 830 to 5.
