contradiction

What is going on, you may ask? Or you may not. Fuck if I care. I don't make a habit of basing what I do on what other people want. But you guys love me for that, I know it.

First of all, the hurricane was gnarly. It ripped the crap out of Orlando. Our power is STILL off. I feel fortunate that my family, who lives in Ft. Myers (hit by the storm dead-on), is all still fine. My guy and I decided that our crazy asses were going to go sit out in the gazebo on the lake and play guitar and such. It was nifty. When it got too bad, we went in and sat on our porch and watched trees get ripped up and lightning come down in green and red flavors.

Second, I may have new employment creating sound effects for video games. What a rockin' job that will be. I am all over it. It will give me a chance to play with sound and technology, and other people will have to listen to my work whenever they punch someone with their little digitized fighter boy in some silly overpriced game. WOOHOO!!! I love it.

As far as everything else, things have been slow. No power will do that. I have to come up here to the cafe to even write this. Aaaaahhhh....such a technology whore I am.
