contradiction

hola all!

I got moved into the new apt on Monday. We have been doing a lot of grocery shopping. We have no furniture in the living room. We don't own a TV. But damn this place rocks.

Things with Angel and I are excellent. We are totally getting in sync again, madly in love, and ready to start taking over the world starting with FL. Anyone coming along for the ride? In reality, when I get done with this home confinement shit, we are going to be going out a lot I am sure, and I want to see you all. He will be gearing up to do shows to support his upcoming album with his band fetisch, and I am not sure but I may choose to participate in that as well....hmmm...not sure yet. We founded the band together, and fell out and broke up at the same time. Working together and being together is almost impossible I think. Too much tension from too many directions. But if I am working with him in a low-key sorta way and still do my own thing, maybe it won't get fucked up this time. I still have my project which is going to be kicking back into gear soon here - my mgr is looking at starting the process of getting me a backing band together, and I am working on new material. I am also recording a lot of my manager's material, doing vox and such, and will bee touring with his band in Toronto and surrounding area in about 9 mo's. That will be fun. Angel will probably be doing the Drop Dead Festival in NYC with his other band, the Astrovamps in a few months. That means I may just get to see NYC! Yay!

My last thought of the day - why is it that everyone around us seems to think that since we are back together we are going to get married? Is it our ages? Is it just that since this has been a 6 year journey people figure that is the natural progression of things? Do we radiate lifetime commitment that strongly? Jeez...hahaha! My mom asked if we were going to, his mom made mention of it, my ex who is a good friend of his and mine made a joke about there being a wedding, and my manager said that we sound like we're "already married". It's like, whoah, brakes on, people. Haha. Why fuck up a good thing with legal bullshit? Commitment is one thing. "Commitment to the Institution" (of marriage) is another. Heehee. I did have a dream about him asking me, in fact it was way before we even decided to get back together, but who knows what the hell dark realm of the netherworld of my brain that might have come from? If we ever decide to do such a horridly conventional thing, we will let you all know.

Still thinking about that housewarming...hmmmmm...after we get the furniture...
