To celebrate the release of GAME OF THRONES on Blu Ray & DVD, and as a way to break in Season 2 (coming April 1st), I will be hosting a GAME OF THRONES MARATHON at mine on Saturday the 14th of April. The plan is to arrive around brunch time, watch all of Season 1 with breaks for drinks and food, and cap the night with the premiere episode of Season 2.
The series really is amazing, so if you are a huge fan, come and join in on the fun of rekindling your love for the show. If you are new or haven't heard of it, basically the series is set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, in which Game of Thrones chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the kingdom's noble families for control of the Iron Throne; as the series opens, additional threats from the snow and ice covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.
Think Lord of the Rings meets The West Wing and the Sopranos.
