Sadness is calling my sweetest friend Dana, my sister Dana, with whom I've shared so much pain and love, and tell her I can't be at her wedding this Saturday. I have my flight booked to Toronto, my hotel room's reserved (shit, have to cancel that) for Saturday night, and today I have to cancel due to my job. Tonight I got a call from several friends that had gathered in T.O. ahead of the wedding, they're going to call me Saturday night so I can feel like I'm there. I'm looking forward to that.
Every cloud has a silver lining, though. I'll be earning tons of overtime. Maybe I'll have the down payment for a house when the smoke clears from this fiasco.
