Well, a good week in Fort Mac. I've been learning telephone cable repair and I like it lots. I don't like taking abuse from the strikers, which is getting to me on the inside even though I don't want to let it. They call me princess, which is kinda funny but still bothers me. I think I feel threatened because they like to throw implied threats at us and they remind me of school yard bullies that use to give me such a hard time. They took my picture and put it on a web site to try to identify me (then they start calling your home to threaten you). I sent the link to the guys in my office in Edmonton and one guy identified me to them as Chico Rodriguez. Good laughs there. I've, been working out of town this week so I haven't had to deal with them.
The two sides are talking right now so maybe there's hope for them that this will end.
Took a company truck mudding the other day -- unintentionally. My partner and I were looking for a cell tower that was about 3 miles off the highway, and we were on the wrong access road and ran straight into thick mud. I had it in 4X4 mode and just let her rip, just like a good ole' boy would. We slid around some corners, grounded the front end in a deep puddle and bounced up in the air, then came out of it, turned around and did it again. Yeee-haw!!!
