Right - I'm getting off my ass and compiling some of my pics to upload here. You see, I tried before, but to get them under 100 kB I had to make them so small or reduce the resolution so much they looked like shit. Then I noticed this Save for Web function on photoshop that sets them up nicely and really efficiently. Maybe everyone...

Save for Web is an option in the File menu in Photoshop. As far as I can tell it changes the resolution to 72 dpi and saves the file into a gif. It does it in one click so that's nice. Am I sounding like a nerd now?

Thanks for the email psychemoon, I didn't know you could do that. One more thing to learn...

and ladyexxa I thought I inserted a pic of country music legend Kely Foxton with her squirrel with my comment but I don't see anything there, one more thing to learn... Ah, it's good for me.

I'll have some more pics up this week, gotta get some sleep now; some rest for the wicked.

Well, you found me out. Yup, it's Alberta and Cow town to boot (do you like my pun?). Actually I have always hated that name. I never really thought that there were that many cows here to justifiy it.
Thankfully I was not the only one upset about the fireworks missing on Canada Day. Alot of people complained to the city and the paper. The excuse was that COP (Canada Olympic Park) where it has been held forever, broke their contract with the city one month before celebration. But still, the city needs to get their act together. ( Sorry more rant). thanks for being sypathetic, most of my friends are sick of hearing how mad I was.
As for my pic, there's a little story to that. In art school it was one of the first sculptures I feel in love with in art history class, especially for the reasons you like it. Rodin( the sculpter) had an eye for beauty and sexuality that was amazing and so life like. Four years ago I saw it in person and was blown away even more. The marble it is carved out of screams to be caressed. If you liked his Danaide you will love his Bacchantes... smile
Hope you are healing well, sounds like it was painful.

That's gonna hurt in the morning... I'm sitting with ice on my right hand and left foot, from a soccer game tonight. I think my little toe is broken, from a guy stepping on it. Later I dislocated my finger trying to save a shot, it went right through my hand and in. I had to pull on my finger to get it to pop...

Well, the date didn't happen, she cancelled siting a cold. Oh well, I'll let it be for now, never know what might come up in the future. The long weekend's coming, I'm looking forward to that.

Happy Canada Day! Have a rowdy drunken time!

Awesome weekend camping trip to Mount Robson PP in BC! I stayed in a campsite that backed onto the Robson River, so all night I could hear the water babbling. You just had to walk down a hill to the shore and had a clear view of Mount Robson, the tallest in the Canadian Rockies. It was humbling, inspiring, awesome.

Also went for a 24...

Sounds like a great weekend! I know that Rockies are amazing... although I haven't seen them since I was 5.

It is always an intense moment when it hits you that all of the most beautiful things are created by nature, with no need of our medling. We are so small...

Oh god my heart hurts. She's so beautiful, and she's nice, she's so nice. She's a batender, I hung out at her bar and she invited me and my friend out with her friends that night. It was great, we hung out, talked lots and laughed, through ice at her friend and hit somee guy in the eye who got really pissed off and we...

Sorry to hear about the heartbreak... there's really nothing that can be said to make it seem better. Another crush will come along and ease the pain for a while...

Good show on getting a car though, a little silver lining?

Played goal keeper for my soccer team last night. I got violent whenever I got hit from behind. The first guy I told I was gonna kill the next time he did it, the second guy I apparently body slammed and definitely held my fist over his face. The poor guy looked scared to death.

This isn't like me, but I know what's up. Last...

I went on a team builder with the major telephone company I work for. You know the type, climb a mountain together to build teamwork. Well, we went canoing down the North Saskatchewan. It didn't take us long to realize the current was strong enough that we didn't have to paddle to get there, so it became a floating party. We smoked weed and drank...

Did yoga in the park today, that was fantastic. Even did a couple short headstands. Haven't done those in a couple years since hurting my back in a horrific yoga accident ('nough said). I didn't even feel the hangover I deserved, must have been the4 fresh air and sunshine. Hopefully I did some damage to my farmer's tan - I must remember to moisturize... I...

Ah, yoga with my beautiful teacher. We talked about the whole photography thing and what I'll do now, and she suggested I just wait and see what comes to me which is pretty much what I said and I just skipped away because she's so beautiful and confident and poised and I've got a big crush on her. Well, gotta find out if she's single...

I got my rejection letter from Ryerson school of photography today. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Well, I've got to plan my next move. Not sure what that'll be.

When someone pulls the carpet out from under you, you can get up and go forward, go back, go left or go right. Or you can stay right there.

I need to stay here for a bit...

Can't sleep, can't drink anymore whiskey... What philosophies can I offer at 4:30 in the morning? Be true to yourself. A wise friend told me that when I was fretting over going back to my wife or pushing on ahead. She said, "Dude, you've got to be true to yourself." So when a friend called me two days ago with a similar dilemma, I said...

Another day home sick; the cold's getting better. Feeling listless, though. Found an old school bike light with a generator that's powered by the front wheel in a junk shop for Anna Nicole. That makes my day. Too bad I sat and watched CSI instead of installing it. No worries, I did take the wobble out of my front wheel; and I'm sick, so I'm...
