Well It has been several years since I updated my blog. I guess I need to spend less time oggling the lovies on this site and more time writing... I have moved from the Portland Area, to Stevens Point Wisconsin. WTF? I know, it sounds like a bit of an odd move, but the property values are low here and I was able to purchase a house with cash, so I why not. I like my new town (small city) a whole lot better than Portland, but I do miss my friends and all the cool bars to drink at. There are some really great thing in Stevens Point. The have the longest Urban Greenway trail in the entire US, it's called the "Green Circle Trail" and it is really very nice to ride my bike on. As it is 26 miles long, I typically only do about 1/4 of it at a time. Most of the trail is crushed gravel, there is some boardwalk and some asphalt. There is virtually no crime and very little homelessness here. People actually lock their bikes with cable locks here and just walk away. In Portland a cable lock will last under 45 seconds before it is stolen. The other nice thing here is there is no garbage on the streets, and on that topic, garbage is free, and water by comparison to Portland is free. In Portland my water bill was 360 dollars for three months, here, 108 dollars for three months!
One thing I am having a bit of trouble with is finding a woman. Most of the women I meet here are either very religious, or total drunkards... I'm still working on that one.
