I need a new tattoo. Super duper bad. The only one I have right now is a little Capricorn (goat with a mermaid tail). I love it, and I love his little beard, but I would like him so much more if he wasn't all alone.

I want to get tattoos on the rest of my arm. My left arm has a big ugly birthmark on the upper under side, so unless I can get someone to tattoo over it, I'm leaving that arm alone.

I also want to get something big up my right side. I don't want something dumb, trendy, and tribal, but something I can honestly appreciate in 20 years as youthful indulgence.

It's been almost four years since I got Cap'n, and I originally intended to get a new one every year. My new idear:
"esprit d'escalier" written in stuffy French style. Possibly on the palm of my hand. Reason #1: next time I find myself at a loss of words, whether it be in a battle of words or just trying to strike up a conversation, I can look down and find immediate inspiration (or an excellent conversation starter). Reason #2: it's just kind of dumb, but in kind of a cute, self deprecating, entirely suitable-to-me-and-my-personality way.

I just might have to go through with this this week.

But then I'd totally have to learn French after that.
