I can't believe that some people are capable of being so niave. I admire people who can live in the moment and enjoy life. I hate people who live in a dream... the former group enjoys themselves in spite of the dangers..they understand the risk and excepts whatever happens....the latter group goes through life in a perpetual haze..without the concept that there might come a...

I've been extremely happy today for some mysterious reason...actually I think it might have to do with the fact that I am enjoying the direction that my life is moving....and my new CD.. I'm probably going to grab the Squirrel and go get some chinese food and catch a movie if I can drag him away from "Breakdown". ...Stupid squirrel. I left you with lyrics...

another amazing comment from the delicious delightful conqueringking!

and in response to your question a couple of journal entries ago, you did win! i carefully evaluated all the "what do you love right now" responses and yours was the most thoughtful / interesting / sexy response as a whole.

Takeshi21 had these fine items to contribute as well, but on the whole your answer was better. heh. (sorry Takeshi, you know you're peeps right?)

I love exploring the end of streets that are clearly marked "Not A Through Street."

I love to wrap presents in pretty and unusual packages.

I love the wonderment that every day can bring, if you are open to it.

I think the Olive garden takes the cake for the craziest place on earth...Its amazing how many times they buzzed us with those glowing coaster things just to try to seat us in the wrong section....it was pretty funny. I think we made it to 4 before we finally got to meet up with weerdwun which was badass.

I finished moving out today... But the thing that amazes me most is that I seemed to find my center again. Despite the drama and negativity that went on at work today...I stood above it, untouched by it while everyone else seemed to be dragged down by it..... Exitus Fatum.

What are you guys doing this weekend?

neakylikeaninja:
Yeah, I'm working all weekend. In between working, I'm still finishing MY moving out. I'm so slow... But, we did go locate a washer and dryer today, and a stand up freezer so we can shop at Sams biggrin It's a pretty good thing, washing clothes, helps with the stink.

Congrats on moving out and staying on top of it all. Moving sucks, and is great, all at the same time.

I realized today that I'm slowly narrowing down the type of woman that I want to be with not by postive qualities that I admire, but by the negative qualities that I can't stand......Coming Soon the Survey...

Well anyway guys the moving continues. hopefully I should have it all done by tonight unless there are some unforeseen problems. I finally got the name of this...

There's a bunch of qualities I consider deal breakers, or at least qualities that make me decide that they're not for me.

1) (and most important) Alot of baggage. If the girl has a ton of issues, then I know that it's gonna be too much work and alot of unnecessary drama and bad things. I've learned the hard way about this. Too bad it usually takes a while to find out a person's baggage.

2) If she treats people she's close to unfairly or like shit. I dont like inconsiderate people who think that they can be an asshole to people or take out shit on people and they should just accept it. I like girls who are fair and not super moody or bitchy.

3) If I get sick of her or annoyed easily by a girl, then it obviously will only get worse later. My current girlfriend is the only person I never get sick of, and I've been with her Alot longer than I've been with any past girlfriend. If you're still stoked on your girl after years and think she's the best person and only gets better, then you met THE ONE.

Sorry for this long ass comment, but just remember...there's alot of girls out there, never settle untill you find the right one for you. I cant wait for the survey. That's gonna be a fun one.

I, too, am narrowing down what I can't stand the more people I date. I learned a lot more from my previous boyfriend than from the one I just ended things with, but there are some things there too...

From the first boyfriend I learned that I can't:
-date someone wayyy too old for me, we seriously had nothing socially in common...all his friends were 40...all mine were 18...
-date someone who is anal about their belongings and everything being "just so"
-date someone who tells me what I can and can't do
-have a Dom
-date someone shallow, manipulative, arrogant, selfish, or childish... I can deal with them separately but not ALL OF THOSE together
-and I realized I really really can't fucking stand self-righteous people, and he was the most self-righteous son of a bitch I've ever met

From the second:
-I need a boyfriend who will be artistic and creative in showing his love for me...buying me a teddy bear once when we start dating doesn't cut it
-You don't need to be fucking rich, but HAVE A JOB and be able to SUPPORT YOURSELF
-don't flip out and scream at me and start throwing shit when you don't get your way

That's it... I'm getting closer I can feel it

The Man, The Boy and the Donkey From my big Ol' book of Folktales.

A Man and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: "you fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?" So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on...

whoa awesome! thanks for translating my dream for me, it looks like everything means relatively good stuff so I'm glad for that smile

my ideal wedding would be in vegas. i want an ike and tina wedding. i want to walk down the aisle and (depending on if i get married to a guy or a girl) i want to say i do, then have my SO say i do, and then i want to slap them and say YOU DO WHEN I SAY YOU DO BITCH! haha jk but honestly i'd like to get married in vegas by elvis, maybe in a drive-thru wedding chapel. but i would want to have a killer dress. smile

It amazes me. There is someone I work with who I thought was similar to me...but I now have come to a new conclusion. Either her sheltered enviroment has tainted her in peculiar ways...or If I was a woman then I would be corrupt, close-minded, self-absorbed,.annoying...delusional,...and just generally suck at life...I would hate myself..and probably pay people to punch me in the face.....but anyway you...

rosehips:
"that need to be with someome despite what your defense mechanisms say"

I have only felt that way once. Unfortunately he was married. By the time I realized I was falling in love with him he was such a huge part of my life that I couldn't let go. Or thought I couldn't. Especially since it was so obvious that he had feelings for me as well. In fact, at first I resisted his friendship because I didn't want to deal with him falling too hard for me.

Anyway, after years of waiting for him to end his unhappy marriage, I realized it was never going to happen. He would never do it. He was willing to settle for what he called the most emotionally satisfying friendship he had ever had. I wasn't. It got too hard. It was like spending all your time cooking gourmet meals. No matter how much you love cooking, eventually you want to eat.

So I finally moved on. But I miss him. Best friend I ever had. Not really an "ex" but more important to me than any ex I have ever had. Never my lover. But the love of my life. The only one I ever loved. Knowing that he loved me too, but not enough to take a risk, only makes it harder. It would be easier if my love were unrequited.
Especially since he won't let go either. Still trying to be friends.

Bad girl? Me. Although I have no tats and only conventional ear piercings. wink

Yes. There is room for romance. But not in every relationship. For some it doesn't fit. You have to find the right one.

Your club sounds cool. I don't know what I would want in a club. I am getting old. Clubs are becoming less and less appealing to me. Although I love the Idea of a ring in a club. If I can do a little dancing and a little fighting I would be one happy girl.

For a while anyway.
