Today started out bad. Real bad. Bickering and finger pointing followed by the silent treatment. And then I had work to look forward to, which I honestly wasn't (whoda thunk it?).

But I stopped myself from allowing the day to continue that way. I left a little bit early for work and took my time getting there, all the while focusing on a good night, giving great service, and making big bucks. And it worked beautifully, it was crazy busy but I barely broke a sweat. I breezed through my night with a geuine smile and let the black cloud that was my afternoon be forgotten. I effortlessly gabbed and joked with my new co-workers ( not like me at ALL, I'm so awkward with new people), I really surprised the shit outta myself. And yes, folks, I left from my six hour long shift with nearly $200 in tips!!

I turned my frown upside down, I'm so proud of myself. And I'm so grateful for the knowledge I've gained recently that taught me how to accomplish this. No matter what happens I know how to keep myself motivated, and I've found this inner strength I really never thought I had. Life is fucking good and it's getting better by the day.


So I'm all giddy and excited, I'm going to FINALLY meet my dear friend, avalonchase in person. I really love this girl and I know we're gonna have tons of fun kicking a few back tomorow night. I see taco flavored keeses in my near future.

I'm also having a family pow wow tomorrow to discuss the whole house buying situation. Wish me luck with this one, I really need it.
