Ok, so I've discovered something that makes me happy no matter what. That commercial, the one with the kid who trades his Skittles for an opera singing bunny. I don't think I've ever been so amused as when that shit comes on. Pure joy.
I've been trying my damndest to keep my attitude positive. And, for the most part, it's working. I've been keeping myself busy, surrounding myself with what makes me happy. I've rekindled my love affair with music (I've been a downloadin fiend for the last week) and books, found a new tv obsession (making my way through the first season of LOST. Jeez, where the hell have I been??). Greek boy and I are getting along swimmingly, I'm going to not one, but two SG Burlesque shows later this week (good times). Life is good.
My grandmother has to have a mastectomy, but the good news is the cancer hasn't spread and the outlook is good once she'd been through surgery and had a little treatment. We're gonna get through this, and it's only gonna make my family's weak bonds stronger.
Greek boy is taking a promotion at the resturant. He's gonna be a boss, he's getting a pretty substantial raise, and he's gonna go get himself some wheels. Thank god for that, we've been struggling with only having my car, I'm fucking sick of begging for rides everywhere from people.
The only downside to this will be us postponing going to Greece. But whatever, we're gonna do it, whether it's now or in a year. And the longer we wait the more of a safety net we can build ourselves.
So, yeah, I'm doin OK. In fact, I can almost say I'm doing good. Heaven forbid.
Alright, I'm gonna start asking icebreaker questions in every post cause I feel like the cat's got everybody's tongue. Speak up, peeps, don't be shy.

Holy crap, I finally saw that commercial the other day. I don't know why but I couldn't stop laughing. Funniest random thing ever.
I hope your grandmother is allright and I'm glad you're staying positive. Whenever life gets me down, I sing the Oscar Meyer Weiner song to myself to get in a better mood. If keeping yourself busy stops helping, try that. It sounds stupid but it actually works.
I think the thing that's funniest to me is that scene in Bruce Allmighty when Bruce is making the lead anchor say all that random stuff, like "my tiny little nipples went to France" and "AHSDKJFSLKEJRSLKH"...hahahahahahaha
