I had a great time at Rook's birthday gathering last night, I saw some new faces and old. And I swear to god, I will never get sick of that 'Things' game..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK TO:
Sway, the young and beautiful, Rook, the masculine and incandescent & Goldfish, the small and somewhat confused.
This is not intended to compare the battle between the genders, whether one deserves more attention that the other. This is outlined separately to represent both data correctly.
Behind ever statistic there is a victim, regardless of gender or age.
This is what I'm learning today. Outlined, for your interest.
Just based on my observations and what I've learned kind of in relation to that (writing something sort of off, but still on that topic) more than anything else seems to be that yes male violence is more prevalent and probably more common, but I don't know whether its a purely a genetic thing, but I think based on what I've seen percentage wise less men will report violence against them. I've wondered whether a lot of this has to do with the way we're raised, and the way society seems to construct itself and roles that our genders are meant to play. I've known people in most positions in this situation.
I do agree there are definitely differences in why they wouldn't report violence against them, and personally I could understand how someone could get to the stage they believe that someone could take away their children.
Thanks for the well wishes for my mom, it's very appreciated. And yes Quinne is quite wonderful, and a good friend to me, she's always so great to visit with, but my son and her are like even better friends, hee hee, he's 3.
My back hurts. I did some of the exercises that my old chiropractor prescribed ages ago. And then some that another chiropractor prescribed slightly less ages ago, and it seemed to make it feel better. I would like to run for forty minutes every morning, go to the gym in the afternoon, then do those exercises each night. But, I'd prefer to play computer and... Read More

I'm experiencing a lot of that calm in the last few days. Things that I think would scare me, aren't. I think you are onto something with your statement.
So many fears to overcome... But possibly, so worthwhile.
I will play with the quiz tomorrow. I have a weekend at home alone - what better reason to sit down and complete online quizes?!
Lovely to see you on Saturday night. Really, it was. You're a radiating ball of happiness and all good things.
I met so many new faces, and danced up a storm. I didn't get to play poker though, so I might have to have a poker night at my house in the not too distant future to make up for it
I then got up murderously early on Sunday, dragging Lexiphanic out of bed to endure the wrath of... Read More
oh oh oh I wanna go to Melbourne!
Unless its like a couple only thing, in which case bugger ya's, I was planning on going alone anyway!
...(unless you'll have me?)
I've changed so much. Over these last few years. My car and I drove so far, so many times I moved my things, my self. We had a plan, shifting between suburbs, I crossed the border and went into the city, finally, to see what it meant to be living.
The old jokes, familiar faces and past dreams. When you're finally in a position to... Read More
Definitely don't throw it away. When we write, we are tattooing the world with our experiences. To throw it away would be to permanently scar us all.
Unless the poetry is really, really painfully bad. In which case it should not be thrown away but rather quarantined and investigated for possible weapons uses. As we all know, bad poetry that fails to be quarantined in time eventually ends up getting read to a tied up Arthur Dent on some massive spacecraft somewhere.
you looked great too!!! i hope you had an awesome night! it looked like you were!
im with everyone else, dont throw it, i had stories i used to write and would just chuck them, now i regret that cos some of them were awesome
oh wellz
Chanel - Fear and Loathing is the exact set I wanted to do, right down the shorts and undies. Her poses are like mine, her body shape is quite similar, and her hair cut is almost a match. And the tattoo.. I've been tossing up a few lots of text to get right down my leg.
Go and watch it, and tell me you love... Read More
That IS a great set, and a great tattoo. I have a huge weakness for tattoos which cross from one body part to another, especially ones which trail down the side, they look awesome.
Look how long your hair is in that photograph!
It's affectionate not disparaging.
My little chickadee.
