Haiti... what a cluster fuck. If i were to donate to one organization, who would it be? Well, I did... and it was Medicins Sans Frontieres.
If you haven't yet already, or feel like donating again (perhaps more than $10, maybe $20... or $50... or whatever else you can afford) then please give this organization a look in. With their recent catchy media sound bite 'we need gauze, not guns', this organization, i believe, deserves some backing. They were in Haiti BEFORE the earthquake even occured... because that is how desperate a place Haiti has become... you know, what with the trade tarrifs, the kidnapping of Aristide in 2001, the political vacuum that ensued and the now incompetent tyrannical government that has replaced him, plus the general long term lack of an education in what it means to become a stable society with a sustainable economy. Need i go on? If a hurricane hits this year and Haiti is not ready... medically... structurally... then it's going to be yet another disaster for the Haitian people.
