so I went down to local 80 on tuesday and filled out an off roster application. the business rep said call before five am and be ready to get on the road to where ever work is show up with your tools and on time and that is how you earn your thirty days. today is day two of up at 4 am to call the local and have my name added to the ready to work list.
my papa and all my great uncles had to do the same thing to get into the construction unions back in boston, i had blood lines in local 151, but the industry unions are rough to get into, it makes me proud to fallow in my papa's footsteps in a way.
if i can nail down the t low budget short in october, then it will give me all of september to try and earn some of my union thirty before i have to cash in on my live insurance policy to stay out in LA.
i'd rather be in debt than quit and go back to boston, some people don't get it.
The Iron Maidens are in town sept 4th, forever!!!
