a couple of thoughts about world events:
1- i'm glad the US is out of the world cup running. the last thing we need is militant german soccer fans sending suicide bombers over here.
2- NPR's morning news needs new theme music. hearing headlines about suicide bombers and terrorist threats delivered over easy-listening guitar jazz is too confusing for me to wrap my mind around at 8 a.m.
