I have befriended some Russian punks. Some punks here are Anarchist, some are Communists. I had to school some Anarchists on the Makhno issue the other night. Most apparently know that he was a Fascist and not exactly an appropriate role model. Some apparently get their heroes off of Anarchist website FAQs without looking into the history behind their hero (as many in the West do). Anyway, I took a picture of myself sitting in Lenin's seat in Kazan State University (where I study) yesterday. I also bought a book written by a Russian on Trotsky, so it will be interesting to test out how proficient my Russian is when I leave while simultaneously seeing what some contemporary Russian historians have to say about Trotsky.

Well I just came back from a 4 day weekend,which was unfortunetly for the most part used for going to my Grandpa's funeral, not the happiest way to spend a long weekend, but nonetheless at least I got to spend time witrh family.
