Alright, paying off the Mastercard over the next couple of months so I can afford Coachella.
I booked a hotel in Palm Springs (two queen beds, the second is open if anyone is interested) and have planned out my intended route. Last year we drove almost non-stop and I hated it... this year I hope to spend a little over a week in California. So far the trip looks like:
Penticton, BC
Seattle, WA
Portland, OR
Klamath, CA
Sacramento, CA
Palo Alto, CA / Montara, CA / Pescadero, CA (can't choose!)
San Luis Obispo, CA
Indio, CA
Sacramento, CA
Portland, OR
Penticton, BC
Calgary, AB
Bare minimum, 14 nights.
A few of those places will be cut out as I only want to take 14 days off tops and would like to spend more than one night in some of those places.
I figured we did LA last year (and hated it... that city is shit. If it weren't for Aimee Mann playing while we were in town I never would have stayed that second night) and we made the mistake of driving through Idaho last year so this year will be done properly.
In other news...
I kicked a guy out of the hostel last night. He was a pisser. A pisser is one who takes a leak on the dormitory floor. It's rather common, actually. I have two friends with prior pissing convictions and have dealt with 3 or 4 pissers myself. Generally, they're intoxicated, but some are just straight up assholes. The guy last night was intoxicated... and an asshole.
Bought a new backpack today. A big ass expedition pack. It's pretty kick ass.
Most exciting of all: Found an apartment near Tubby Dog! Hell's yeah! And the landlady is beyond awesome. The kitchen is cute. Moving in Feb 1. Time to get my shit together,
