So on the advice of some random person on one of the message boards on this site, I picked up a copy of Edward Lee's The Bighead. It was uh... disturbing. But I couldn't put it down! It was crazy like that. Overly violent and obscene, yet captivating. Despite the poor grammar (c'mon, this is the SECOND printing, a little effort here publisher!) and the pointless characters (some of the prominent characters in the novel added absolutely nothing to the storyline come the final chapter) I found that I had to read it through to the end. One thumb up.
In other news, I picked up one of my TESOL expansion courses tonight... yup, after six months of collecting dust, I cracked the book open and finished 1/3 of it. Tomorrow, I shall complete it and fire it off for yet another shiny certificate in my quest for teaching domination!
Getting kind of antsy waiting for this external harddrive to show up. I have 20,000 songs on my mom and dad's computer and maybe 40 on my laptop here... this makes me sad. I don't want to have to load all my CDs up again... it's irritating as Gracenote doesn't recognize a lot of them. That and I can't fit them all on the laptop anyways. Damn Dell and taking forever to ship things.
