Tonight (Monday night) was what is fast becoming my annual end of summer Duluth run to see and spend several hours admiring Benni while she works. Last year when this occurred I met thelefthand. I haven't seen him since, must have scared him away or something. This year I saw met no one there, and I had her all to myself... so to speak. There were a bunch of other people there, but she pretty much ignored them the first few hours, so it was kinda like that.

She missed Roman Dirge on SG Radio last night. Hopefully she'll listen to the archive when it comes out and hear me mention her on the air when I called in around 2:30am Central Time.

Locally an upscale grocery store opened up, and as a result I finally found out what my favorite nuts are called. They were always the unknown nuts in the Planters® salted nuts can. I thought they were Filberts, but now I know that they are actually called Brazil Nuts. I feel like suing them though because their "nut ingredients" list never mentioned Brazil nuts. Cashews, walnuts, peanuts, filberts yes... but no Brazil nuts. So I was finally able to buy these nuts by themselves. Now I just have to figure out how to salt them, or mix 'em with salted nuts do they pick up on the salt to bring out their flavor... because they're pretty bland without salt.. which is how I got 'em.

I was going to go to the MN State Fair today, as it was my day off and I hate large crowds... but I had more fun and spent less money where I did go. I'd have been interested to find out what spaghetti-on-a-stick was like though... oh well.
