While I appreciate the comments about how people hope things work out between me and Steve, please keep in mind I've spent most of my adult life trying to work things out, but that he never changes. I hate him through and through now. I don't want to forgive and forget... just to forget him.
Steve may or may not find out tomorrow that we're not friends anymore. I'm not going to tell him, one of the other gamers might when he tries to call them.
On a similar note, I'd just like to put a halfway-to-an- anniversary shout out to Benni! While we've known each other for years, it was 6 months ago today that was my defining moment... the day you became my really good friend.
Those of you paying attention may now think because Steve, who was my best friend and is now no longer my friend, that this makes Benni my new best friend - but you'd be wrong. It means that while she and I are really good friends, I now have an opening for a new best. There is a difference.
