We're looking for someone to fill a room in our east village three bedroom apartment starting May 1st through Sept. 1st. We know it's short notice but someone just dropped off the roster. Our main concern is to find someone compatible who we can have a really awesome summer with, someone who is gonna click with the group and share a really good environment with.
roomie 1: 21. gay, female art student, into: vegetarian food, punk rock, drinking, smoking.
roomie 2: 22, gay, male, photographer, into: David LaChappelle, tequila parties, good times.
you: in our age bracket, preferably female-bodied, but we're really open to anybody cool, queer or queer friendly, respectful and fairly tidy, responsible, fun and fun-loving.
The space: For 950/month the bedroom is really big, as far as new york standards go. Easily 1 1/2 the other two bedrooms, the ones we occupy- perfect for sharing with a friend or for a couple to make it really cheap. Also, if you could pay all three months you'll be there up front, the rent would be cheaper! There are two windows and a fire escape for sittin on summer nights, or to put a window AC unit in one of them. In addition, there's also a roof deck which you will of course have access to for margarita parties and whatnot. It's a SECOND FLOOR walkup, with a full kitchen and eating area. The common areas are probably gonna be smoking, but you can do whatever you want in yr bedroom. If this is a huge problem we can talk about it with the right person. We want to create a space where we can be social when it's right, but have it be an environment that's really respectful of personal space and alone time. This isn't gonna be a party house, we're both mature and sensible enough to know when to stop. We are about having a good time, and the idea is that a balance can be struck.
