Well, I had a pretty downer weekend...
My doctor called on Friday and they found that I have a spot of high grade 3 cancer....I go back in to a different doctor on the 23rd for more testing. If I wasn't trying to have children and preserve my cervix, they would recommend a full hysterectomy. They are hoping that we can maybe cut out the spot and preserve my cervix.
I will have to return to the doctor's every 6 months from now on to through the rest of my life though to make sure the cancer hasn't spread or come back.
It's setting in and becoming really scary...at 24, I never thought I would hear that I had any kind or any amount of cancer. I'm already struggling with other things in my life (family sucks) and trying to pay bills....now I'll have all sorts of other medical expenses to pay for (not sure how that one's gonna work either).
I'm scared.....and stressed.....and I just can't stop crying

very odd, but I have been going through fertility problems similar to yours. I have recurring fibroids and have had a hysterectomy reccommended, too. I want children, so I'm hoping it won't come to that. I've managed to get into a medical stucy at UCSF, so I am at least having things treated without going too much farther into debt. I am 25. I'm happy to talk if you need a shoulder.
