i dunno where you went - sounds like the studio was ok, but did you research the artist properly?
to be honest, everyone and his brother has different tattoo advice to give and everyone does their own thing.
but i've followed my tattooists advice to the letter 4 times, and i've never had a problem ever...
i don't claim to be an expert - but hopefully, if your tattooist didn't give you any advice (which is pretty shoddy service to be honest), maybe mine will help... (and you can check with Ciel or Fanny as they have used the same artist)
