Hangovers still killing me but I guess I better elaborate on last night.

I was walking down the road from my house to the pub I was meeting my friends and I saw what looked like a couple messing about roughly 500 yards away. As I got closer though I realised that it wasnt amicable and in fact he was trying to seperate this women from her bag. I ran over, pulled him off of her and did my best shouty bit. He decided that it wasnt worth the hassle, spat at me(missed thankfully) and ran off.

The victim was clinging on to me and sobbing frantically so I took her into the nearest pub where a couple of women took over the conforting part (Im not very good with distressed people. I just feel like a complete tool). We asked her if she knew who he was and established through her broken english that she didnt know him. I wanted to ring the police but she didnt want to and no one else there seemd to think it was worth it. To be honest this pissed me off so I gave the barman some money and asked him to make sure she got in a taxi and went on my merry way.

So thats it, not an especially brutal attack nor heroic rescue. The one thing that worries me is that another half a dozen people where in the vicinity who could have intervened but they all just looked the other way; I find that kind of sad.
