Drunk driving is bad. We can all agree. But try to find a fucking cab in this city past 1:30am. It's ridiculous. I couldn't even get through to a number to be put on a waiting list, and people who did get through had to wait for like 90 minutes.
even though i had a beer, a martini and a glass of wine, it was from 8pm to 2am. plus the HUGE meal i had prior pretty much kept me from getting drunk. Otherwise we would have been stranded downtown in minus 20 weather.
Then trying to get to my car in the parkade... well apparently no one in the city stays out past midnight because all the fucking pedways were closed. God forbid a bum try to seek a little heat. Then when i marched through the snow to get to my car, the parkade couldn't afford to pay anyone $5/hour to let me the fuck out, so i had to "improvise"
