This is where I am... I am going to have to move since I couldn't find a job in time...
So I will probably move back here next summer. That's just fine with me. I talked to my friend Lisa (who lives in Spanish Harlem and I absolutely love) and she told me that she still plans on moving out here next year. I am too excited.
I also came to a conclusion the other day. Of the last 5 years I have been in the Navy, I have not remained in the same city for more then 13 months. Leaving New York, I traveled to Chicago, then to San Diego... deployed 2 months later to the Persian Gulf with some stops in Thailand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Italy, Croatia... got back for about 2 months and left again for alaska, mexico, and some other cities... got back for 4 months and left again for texas for 2 months of training... got back and had my 13 month stand-still... then deployed to Iraq for a year... and here I am.
I have been in San Diego for 11 months now, and getting ready to move yet again. When I explained this to Lisa, all she could do is go "bro... your a fuckin nomad. GANGSTA!"
I am what I am. but I still haven't been to New Zealand.

I get restless, but now all I want is to stay in one place for a while... granted I wasn't moving around as much as you did, but sometimes you just want 'home' to be 'home' for longer than 6 months.
